Grampound Village Hall hosts two regular events each month: Grampound Carnival coffee morning on the last Saturday of each month (not December) and the Antiques and Vintage Fair on the third Sunday of each month.
Craft fairs are held three times a year, generally running from Monday to Friday during the Easter break, the school summer holiday, and the autumn half-term holiday.
The hall has also staged a beer festival once a year, generally on the first Friday and Saturday in February or March. These were put on hold in 2020 and 2021 because of the Covid pandemic.
Grampound local produce market has been held in the village hall every month from 2009 until 2020 when the Coronavirus pandemic shut this type of event down. The market is held on the last Saturday in each month.
The markets were restarted in April 2021 and continued through to 27 November. There will not be a market in December. They will restart in 2022 on these planned dates:
29 January, 26 February, 26 March
Please note that the last of these markets was held on 26 March. They are being discontinued because of the fall off in customer numbers over the past year.
It is planned to replace the local produce market with a coffee morning on the last Saturday of each month. It is organised by the carnival committee as a regular fund-raiser. Tea, coffee, cake, savouries, raffle.
More details to follow.
Grampound Antiques and Vintage Fair has been held in the village hall for several years, usually on the third Sunday in each month.
The fairs ceased during the Covid pandemic and restarted in August 2021. They continued through the autumn with a fair scheduled for 19 December. The planned dates in 2022 are:
16 January, 20 February, 20 March, 17 April, 15 May, 19 June, 17 July, 21 August, 18 September, 16 October, 20 November, 18 December
Please note: fair scheduled for 17 April cancelled because of Covid amongst organisers. It should be back in May.
